Higher Ground Reading Plan – Lesson 1
Each day there is a reading after a reminder to pray. Because the Spirit of God is our teacher it is good to talk to Him about the things that are on your mind before you read. This normally allows you to read without wandering thoughts becoming a distraction. It also places you into a frame of mind to listen and think as you read. I encourage you to not skip over this part about praying before you read. Finally, I encourage you to continue praying as you read, continuing afterward for as long as you’re inclined to, thanking God for His time with you.
Day 1 – Pray and then read Psalm 139 (All 24 verses)
Day 4 – Pray and then read 1 Corinthians 13 (All 13 verses)
Day 5 – Pray and then read 1 Corinthians 13 (All 13 verses)
Day 6 – Pray and then read Psalm 139 (All 24 verses again)
Day 7 – Pray and then read Psalm 8
Day 8 – Pray and then read 1 Corinthians 13 (All 13 verses)
Day 9 – Pray and then read Isaiah 55:7-11 (3X)
Day 12 – Pray and then read a favorite portion of the selected readings
Day 13 – Pray and then read 1st John 2 (All 29 verses)
Day 14 – Pray and then read Philippians 2 (All 30 verses)
As it stands now I plan to provide a two-week reading schedule with each new lesson with perhaps lessons in between that are relevant to the selected readings. I am praying for you as you work through these exercises. I cannot wait to hear from some of you regarding the things that God teaches you during your times with Him.
Until next time. (Back to Lesson Post)
