KISS Means Keeping It Short & Sweet

“The words of the wise are as goads, and as
nails
fastened by the masters of assemblies,
which are given from one Shepherd.”

Ecclesiastes 12:11

I am beginning a series of posts here that I am placing into the category, “Keeping It Short & Sweet.” They will be simple thoughts; a verse, a quote, or some other idea that I find helpful, instructive and powerful. This will be a good challenge for me because I tend to be overly thorough in my explanations.

Have you heard of the 5 B’s of public speaking? Be Brief Brother Be Brief. This is my attempt to be brief with my posts here on my website. Anything larger than 300 words is too much for the KISS series. Often what we do not say speaks louder than what we do. And being brief but precise in an explanation often does more than trying to communicate every angle of a thought.

My hope is that short posts will enable you to check in, communicate back, and stay connected without it taxing your time. I hope that you’ll join me for this series of potent, powerful, encouraging, and enlightening posts of things that I find during my journey. They will most likely just be things that I learn as we walk along this rotating globe together. If you want – subscribe above and I will send you the updates.

If you find something for me to post pass it along.
Until next time — be well. Kind regards always.

“So the carpenter encouraged the goldsmith,
and he that smootheth with the hammer him that smote the anvil,
saying, It is ready for the sodering: and he fastened it with nails,
that it should not be moved.” Isaiah 41:7

  1. Hi Carl,

    Just checking in.

Short and sweet sounds interesting. Can it be done? Lol.
Thanks for your care and concern for your fellow sojourners.

    ~Bob

    • I usually am brief in conversation unless someone gives me a platform to speak and they appear interested. All I have to do is assume I have not been given the platform to speak and that no one is interested. It’s a cinch. 😀

  2. Hey Brother

We must be a lot a like. Once I start writing my brain goes into OD. Then I look back at the three paragraphs I just wrote, edit and condense it with 10 words.

    • I am constantly editing. Perhaps that is why I have never managed to write a book and why it takes so long for me to turn out my posts. idk 🙂

  3. I like it! This was so short I actually get to give you two comments today!

Since you’re being brief, so will I for once! LOL!

I like the 5 B’s of public speaking! I’ll have to remember that when I preach and teach (maybe I ought to consider it in my comments, too, huh?)!

    Looking forward to it!

    Your brother in Christ,

    Donnie

    • Donnie,

Thank you for two comments; honestly though I am thankful for one. Shoot I am thankful that you just stopped by to read what I have written. The 5 B’s was originally told as the 5 B’s of preaching so it fits there well. Lol I enjoy your comments whether they are short or long. You always have great insights brother.

      Kind regards again and always,

      Carl
